Website Design and Development

WiredEyes provides professional graphic, website design and web development services based on more than 10 years professional experience producing sites for an ever expanding range of business and service types.

Our phases of site development can be summarised within our 4-D framework:

Define - Design - Develop - Deploy

Phase 1: Define
The first step is to understand the needs of our clients and to set together the objectives of the website, identifying the target groups and budget in order to choose the right technical solution. We will then provide a detailed written quotation based on these requirements and suggest solutions defined by any technical or budget constraints.

Phase 2: Design
The first impression for the user is intimately linked to the look and feel of the website, so the graphics, layout of the images, colours etc come next.

At this point we also ask the client to provide any graphical direction with examples of colour schemes, graphical ideas, other websites that the client likes and any company logo or CID to be included in the design. We will then produce design mock-ups for the client to choose from.

Phase 3: Develop
At this point we start the actual coding part of the process which includes converting the design in to html, building the site navigation and may include adding some interactive or database driven functionality into the site depending on what has been agreed with the client.

Phase 4: Deploy
Finally we arrive at the UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and deployment phase where we first functionally test the site on our own servers then upload the site to the clients chosen hosting provider where additional testing and final sign-off is requested.

Some other related services we offer are website updates, content management, web marketing and website statistics.

Use the advantages of custom attributes in your C# applications
In the .NET Framework, attributes are used for many reasons -- from defining which classes are serializable to choosing which methods are exposed in a Web service. Zach Smith explains how to take advantage of custom attributes in your own applications.
